Diesel Alternator

  • Revolving field, single bearing, brushless, direct drive centrifugal blower.
  • Class F insulation system (including higher levels); special insulation treatments available based on the usage environment, such as protection against salt damage or chemical corrosion.
  • Rotor: Tested for dynamic balance, directly driven by the engine through a flexible coupling, and equipped with a damping winding design to help minimize voltage deviation and hunting effect caused by single-phase application or load imbalance.

  • Voltage stability regulation: voltage difference not exceeding ±1% from no load to full load.
  • Voltage adjustment range: ±5% of rated voltage.
  • Frequency variation: not exceeding ±0.5% of its mean value for constant load.
  • Frequency stability regulation: From no load to full load, frequency variation is:
     A. Less than 5% (engine with mechanical governor)
     B. Less than 1% (engine with electric governor).
  • Transient voltage variation: For a generator set equipped with an automatic voltage regulator, when the load decreases suddenly from full load to no load during operation under rated speed and rated voltage conditions, the voltage leap of the terminals must not exceed 30% of the rated voltage and the voltage must restore to +/-2.5% of the rated voltage within 2 seconds (+/-3% of the rated voltage if the generator set is for standby use). When the load increases suddenly from no load to 67% of the rated current at 0.4 power factor, the voltage dip of the terminals must not exceed 25% of the rated voltage and the voltage must restore to +/-2.5% of the rated voltage within 2 seconds.
  • Waveform distortion: less than 6%.
  • Harmonic distortion: less than 6%.
  • Telephone influence factor: less than 50 per NEMA MGI-22.43.
