Founded in 1956, CHEM began its journey in manufacturing electric motors and generators, aligning with the industrialization of Taiwan. As Taiwan's economy grew, CHEM diversified its business portfolio, achieving remarkable success in the electric and power generation industries. With Taiwan as its base, the company is expanding its global presence by closely integrating research and development, manufacturing, and sales to strive for new heights.
Building on the steady stable growth of its existing businesses—gas-insulated switchgear (GIS), electromechanical HVAC engineering, and parking management services, CHEM is further advancing into the new energy sector—hydrogen fuel cells are applied in backup and base load power generation through hydrogen-powered generators, aiming to create a cleaner living environment for people.
With the rapid development of AI worldwide, many countries have launched large-scale infrastructure projects, leading to a strong demand for power and air conditioning systems. CHEM has grown as a result of increasing market demand, reaching a revenue peak of NT$25.6 billion in 2024, ranking 160th in Taiwan's manufacturing industry. We are also committed to fulfilling ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) responsibilities and strengthening corporate governance to achieve the goal of sustainable operations. We were honored as one of Taiwan's "Top 100 Carbon Competitiveness Companies" in 2023, received the "17th TCSA Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Award" in 2024, were recognized as one of the "Top 100 DEI Generation Empowerment Companies" by Business Weekly, were named an international "Best Managed Company" (BMC) by Deloitte, and received the "Happy Enterprise" Award from Taiwan's 1111 Job Bank. In addition, we promote intellectual property management and anti-bribery measures and have obtained an A-level certification and an ISO 37001 certificate from an international certification body.
We also received an Excellence Award at the 24th Public Construction Golden Quality Awards for the excellent quality of our construction projects and our promotion of green energy and environmental protection, and a Special Contribution Award for winning an award for five consecutive years. In terms of occupational safety, the company received the First Place in Taipower's 2024 Outstanding Contractor in Occupational Safety and Health Performance. Due to outstanding performance, we have successively obtained the contracts for operating green power charging stations on 16 highways. In 2020, we were also awarded the Tainan Qigu 216 MW solar power project. These achievements have led to our listing by the Taiwan Stock Exchange as a green energy generation company. Overall, CHEM has a diversified business portfolio, including: GIS products, electric meter products, central air conditioning systems, generators, power automation systems, parking management, EPC projects for power substations, and hydrogen fuel cells. Our goal is to align with the government's green energy policy by integrating related businesses through system integration, developing Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and hydrogen backup power systems, and combining them with an Energy Management System (EMS) to enable dynamic power management, reduce power consumption and avoid penalties for exceeding the contracted capacity. This not only increases product sales and profitability but also effectively promotes energy conservation and carbon reduction, fulfilling corporate social responsibilities.
After nearly 70 years of transformation, CHEM has become the leading brand in Taiwan's power equipment industry and is entering a new phase, competing with major global manufacturers and striving to achieve unmatched success worldwide.
