In an effort to fully improve environmental management performance in construction projects, the Ministry of Environment (MOENV) organized the 2025 Construction Environmental Protection Excellence Awards and selected nine projects with outstanding air pollution prevention to commend the companies that have contributed to improving quality of life and promoting pollution control in construction, serving as learning benchmarks for other construction projects. 

CHEM’s efforts toward sustainability have never stopped. CHEM was awarded Taiwan Power Company’s EPC Project for the New 161kV Switchyard of the Tunghsiao Power Plant Phase II Renewal Project. During the project, CHEM created bird habitat and foraging areas, conducted ecological monitoring/verification, minimized environmental impact, set up water refill stations for wastewater reuse, and delivered recyclables to elderly people living alone, giving back to the community in a supportive way. Recognized by the MOENV for its efforts, CHEM won a Gold Award at the 2025 Construction Environmental Protection Excellence Awards.
