1.  The heavy rains brought by Typhoon Wipha’s outer circulation produced a flow more than four times greater than the flood protection standard, causing the landslide dam on the Matai’an River to overflow and collapse, devastating downstream areas including Guangfu Township.

2.  In times of hardship in disaster-stricken areas, CHEM upholds its social responsibility and fully supports post-disaster reconstruction by cooperating with the Water Resources Agency and other government agencies to build access roads and strengthen levees and donating around 4,000 leftover construction items for reconstruction purposes, hoping that the affected families can soon return to a normal and safe life.
