Important Deeds

1956

• Chung Hsin Electric factory establised. Major products were electric motors and generators.

1962

• CHEM formal established.

1963

• Technical collaboration with GE (USA) to start manufacturing window type air conditioner.

1971

• Technical collaboration with GE (USA) to start manufacturing electrical meter.

1979

• Technical collaboration with B.P.S (USA) to develop 1200kW diesel generator.

1980

• Technical collaboration with PEI to upgrade diesel generator technology.

1983

• Technical collaboration with Hitachi (Japan) to start developing SF6 GIS and GCB related products.

1986

• Cooperated with USC to develop electronic electrical meter.

1989

• Lin-Ko factory start operation.

1990

• Establish CHEM USA in San Francisco.

1991

• Re-structure to form Business Dept.

1992

• Starting mfg. parking tower.

1993

• Engage Incinerator projects.

1994

• IPO in Taiwan (Code:1513)

2003

• Founded DoDoHome, Started parking engineering & management business. Entered China market in partnership with AE Power (Japan).

2004

• Established GIS parts manufacturing center in China (CHPS).

2006

• Established Chung-Hsin Power Systems (Jiangsu) in China to manufacture & promote GIS/GCB business.

2007

• Established Chung-Hsin Power Systems (Shengyang) in China to manufacture casting aluminum alloy conductor and pressure vessel for GIS/GCB.

2008

• Established New Energy R&D center to dedicate solely to Hydrogen Fuel Cell products.

2009

• Began annual stock dividend distribution.
• Received “IT Excellence Award (Application and Product)” for Saving Energy Management System (SEMS).

2010

• Received “18th Annual Technology Industry Innovation Excellence Award” from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, R.O.C.
• Hydrogen Energy R&D Center successfully implements and operates “Hydrogen power Demonstration Station”, combining 10kW Fuel Cell System with wind, solar, energy storage, and Smart Power Management Technology, and becomes the first fully operational Fuel Cell company in Taiwan.

2011

• Due to the global market demand for precision machine tooling, CHEM establishes the “ Machine Tooling Division” which utilizes CHEM’s expertise in precision machining to produce large scale gantry type five-axis machine tool.
• Received “12th Annual Public Construction Golden Quality Award” on behalf of new construction projects for wind power generator sets installed at Wang-Gong(Chenghua), Da-Tan II, and Huxi (Penghu).
• Received Evergreen Business Excellence Award from Taoyuan Country for 55 years of excellence in local business.

2012

• Machine Tooling Division awarded market development grant by Ministry of Economic Affairs Industrial Development Bureau for development of High Speed and Precision Five Axis Gantry Machining Tool.
• Hydrogen Energy R&D Center awarded Ministry of Economic Affairs Dept of Industrial Technology’s Industry Research Grant for development of Weather Resistant Self Humidifying Fuel Cell Stack and key components.
• Signed Strategic Partnership with leading Fuel Cell manufacturer Ballard Power Systems.

2013

• Engineering & Construction Division awarded subsidy of the leading product development program by Ministry of Economic Affairs Industrial Development Bureau for development of packaged air-conditioning unit for data center.
• CHEM selected as 2nd Potential Taiwan Mittlestand by Ministry of the Economic Affairs.

2014

• Formed a joint venture with Nomura Machine Tool Works, Ltd. To establish Nomura Chung-Hsin Machinery Corporation to manufacture horizontal boring & milling machines in Taiwan.
• Acquired H2PT, INC with the aim to obtain the advanced technology and crucial patents for development of Fuel Cell products.

2015

• TachiaChi Hydro Power Plant Ching-Shan Branch Power Plant Rehabilitation Project LOT Ⅱ Power Generating Equipment & Auxiliary Equipment.
• “The 15th annual Golden Quality Medal Award”
• Supreme Quality Award by Chinese Engineer’s Association
• CHEM exercises Government Uniform Receipt (GUR) responsibly and abides by tax collection law and regulatory for national treasury. In 2015, we received the certification of merit of operator exercising GUR from Ministry of Finance of Taiwan.
• “The Auditing Award of Suppliers to Corporate Social Responsibilities”

2016

• The 16th Public Construction Golden Quality Award, by Public Construction Commission Executive Yuan,
• Prize of Excellence in Facilities Category, for Linkou New Thermal Power Plants 345kV GIS & accessory equipments Project

2017

• 2017 Energy Smart Communities Initiative (ESCI) Best Practices Awards Program. Pillar in Smart Grids, Silver in Ranking,Project Name: Penghu Donjiyu Microgrid Small Power Supply System
• Formed the strategic partnership alliance for fuel cell with Toyota Tsusho from Japan. Toyota Tsusho takes the exclusivity for fuel cell in Japan.
• The 17th Public Construction Golden Quality Award, by Public Construction Commission Executive Yuan, Prize of Excellence in Facilities Category, for Linkou New Thermal Power Plants 345kV GIS & accessory equipments Project,

2018

• CHEM Group’s new Nanke factory has been built completely and is the main production base of vacuum chamber products such as semiconductor, display, solar energy equipment.
• Kinmen Tashan Power plant New Construction of Unit 9 and 10 Power Generation project is designed with the concept of green environmental protection and introduced the concept of circular economy.
• This project won the High Distinction Award 2018 from Taiwan Power Company in Green Environmental Excellent Site Evaluation.

2019

• Was granted with 19th Annual Public Construction Golden Quality Award for Chang-Kong (III) Yong Hsin – Wind Power Substation Engineering Project.
• Won the Contract for 193MW Solar Energy Power Plant granted by TaiSugar and 20 years in Management for Service and Maintenance
• Was granted the Golden Award in ESCI (the Energy Smart Communities Initiative) under APEC Programs by Smart Community Micro-Grid for Hsin-Long Public Housing - the 2nd Area Project
• Received the Golden Award by Chunghwa Telecom with “Best Partnership as the Supplier in Sustainability 2019”

2020

• Issued the Company's first unsecured convertible bond, with the total amount of NTD 1.5 billion.
• Was awarded for Golden Award and Outstand Award for Design & Construction, by Kinmen Tashan Power plant (金門塔山) New Construction of Unit #9 and #10 Power Generation project, meanwhile, was also granted with Golden Award for Special Achievement in Public Engineering projects, for years of excellent performance in public engineering projects.
• Was granted with NTD 65Million for High Performance Liquid Cooled Fuel Cell Stack And Key Technology Development Project under A+ Industrial Innovation R&D Program to the Renewable Energy Group with the subsidies, under The Industrial Technology Foresight Research Program from Ministry of Economics.
• Was granted with National Architecture Gold Award 2020 for Excellence in floor planning, design and construction quality in residential/commercial buildings by the"Dunnan Palace - Urban Renewal Project"
• Issued the Company's second unsecured convertible bond, with the total amount of NTD 1.5 billion.

2021

• Issued the first secured corporate bond par valued NTD 2 billion in 2021.
• CHEM’s Power Substation Engineering Projects of 69kV in Eastern Taiwan, (東部發電廠銅門、龍澗機之69kV開關場修復工程案) for Taipower in 2021, has won Golden Award and Outstanding Award for Design & Construction.
• The Solar Power Generation Engineering Program in Tainan Qigu (台南七股) – 216MW of the maximum power generation and is expected to generate over 300 million kW per year for power use. The Program serves as the largest solar power generation in-land power plant in Taiwan.

2022

• CHEM’s Power Substation Engineering Projects of 161kV in Ta-Dain and Linko, (大潭電廠增建燃氣複循環機組發電計劃大潭及林口電廠增設161kV開關場統包工程), has won Golden Award and Outstanding Award for Design & Construction.
• CHEM’s Nanke Factory has been approved by Applied Material, Inc.(AMAT), as the Best in Class Performance of 2022. CHEM is the only one being recognized with such an honor in AMAT’s Display business.
• Renewable Energy Group, the Hydrogen business has completed the projects for power generating module design as in Carriers-Sized, also, the R&D for light vehicles, as in 2, 3 or 4-wheeled. The Company has also expanded the business and created the momentum with capital investment of nearly NTD 200 million by establishing the factory in Hwa-Ya Tech Park with the size of nearly 4000 Taiwanese Ping.
