Foreword

The Chronlogy of Event     In 1956, Chung-Hsin Electric and Machinery Manufacturing Corp.(CHEM) was established. During the early years,the major scope of this company's business was focused on the manufacture of electric motors and generators. In 1970, we stepped into the market of home appliances including air-conditioners. Before long, we took the lead in the production of air conditioners, refrigerators and washing machines in Taiwan. In 1983,operating with Hitachi, Japan, we successfully developed SF6 gas insulated switchgears and gas insulated circuit breakers. Ten years later in 1993, in accordance with Taiwan government’s policy, we actively participated in large-scaled,“Turn-Key,”engineering projects of the government. The total contract value was 18 billon NT dollars. CHEM was transformed again in 2000. Since then, we have been engaged in RF and wireless communication manufacturing business.     We are regarded as one of best manufacturers of electric equipments in Taiwan. Our customers have confirmed our ability in R&D and production based on our technology and experiences of many years.IPP power plants and industrial electricity users commonly use the main product of CHEM, High-Voltage Insulated Switchgear, in their systems. Currently,our business area consists of electricity supplying, metering,electric machinery, air conditioning,wireless communication and system integration. The total revenue in 2006 was 10 billion NT dollars, which enabled our investors to earn 1.95 NT dollars per share(after tax).
